Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout Book Review

Hello! So I recently read Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and let me just say it was probably one of the best science fiction books I've ever read. It was so amazing for a young adult read. So let's get on with the review.

Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year , I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents , dodgy Internet access , and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up. And then he opened his mouth. Daemon was infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do no get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand , well , something...unexpected happens.

 You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities , and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. 

 If I don't kill him first that is. 

Review:

To begin I've never read a book about aliens that was a young adult novel. I am so glad I made the choice to have Obsidian be that novel. I love how funny this novel was. It really made me laugh; especially when the two main characters Katy and Daemon were talking. I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. While reading this story I really felt the feels! There was just so many feels reading this book , I can't even. 

  The plot of this story was phenomenal. It really pulled me in just reading the first few pages. I really loved the action filled scenes in the novel. My favorite scene was toward the end of the novel. It was amazing kick-butt action. There was a tad too much romance for me but overall the plot of the story was amazing.

  On to Katy's character. I love her! I like how she's not afraid to speak her mind. My favorite thing about Katy is she loves to read and has a book blog. I was so happy when I read that! I love her shirt that she wears in the story that says "My blog is better than your vlog" It's pretty cool. All in all Katy is a very determined , strong , and caring character. Which I think a lot of readers will love.

  Two words: Daemon Black. He's seems so handsome and swoon-worthy. Until he begins to speak. Although he is mean he does have a caring side when it comes to his sister. When he meets Katy his guard is up , because of the secret that he's an alien. But has he gets to know Katy more, that guard's hard to keep up. Especially since his sister Dee and Katy are best friends. Even though Daemon makes me upset , he's a good character. 

  Overall this story was freaking awesome!!! I loved it so much and can't wait to continue the rest of the series. Have a good day! -G
