Hollow City By Ransom Riggs Book review

Hello Book Lovers! I recently finished the second book of the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: The Hollow City.  If you would like a review for the first book or what it is about I will gladly do so.

Summary:
The second novel begins in 1940 , immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine's island by the skin of the teeth , Jacob and his friends must journey to London , the peculiar capitol of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies , a menagerie of peculiar animals , and other unexpected surprises.

I know the summary isn't that great . but don't let that fool you. This book was marvelous. The main protagonist Jacob has an easy going character , his point of view on the story is really good. In this book you learn more about how he feels with knowing and finding what he can do with his  peculiar abilities. You will also see more of him deciding  his feelings for Emma , who he met in the first book who was previously involved with Jacob's grandfather. Weird , right?
The plot of the book was very animating and thrilling. There is always new surprises and you'll hardly ever be bored. In my opinion the book did get off to a slow start but it was okay because the story ended up being very exhilarating. In the story the kids encounter quite a few hollows but with Jacob's peculiar ability for knowing when Hollows are near they are prepared.
All the peculiar children are still very important to the story. Nobody DIES. Although there are very many near death experiences. As you get more into the story Claire and Fiona aren't in the story as much. If you read the first book we all know Miss Peregrine turned into a bird and was not able to change back. This is the peculiar children's reason for going to London to find another ymbryne who can help them get Miss Peregrine back. The problem is if they don't hurry Miss Peregrine could be stuck as a bird FOREVER.
Overall ,  I really enjoyed this book and meeting new characters, a few of them really made me smile. I will say that the ending leaves you  like 'OH MY GOSH WHY DID IT END THERE?" I mean really, the ending was such an astonishing cliff-hanger I wanted to throw my book! I am really ready for the 3rd installment as you can see. Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat with this hair-rising and mind-blowing novel. If you would  like a specific book to be reviewed let me know with the title and author. Thanks for reading and please pick up The Hollow City your local bookstore if you haven't all ready.
